Pre-Arranged JAX Pickup

JAX requires pre-arranged operators to work the designated Ground Transportation Area on the lower level. Curb and Hourly Garage pickups are not permitted, so the meeting point is set before you land.

Flight Number On The Quote

Include the operating flight number in the quote request so pickup time can be set from the published schedule. If the flight moves, send the update before you land.

Northeast Florida Coverage

Downtown, San Marco, Riverside, the Beaches, Ponte Vedra and TPC Sawgrass, Nocatee, Amelia Island, St. Augustine, and Mayo Clinic on San Pablo Road.

The Fleet

The right vehicle for the day

Full fleet →
Executive Sedan class illustration

Executive Sedan

$120 an hour · confirm assigned seats and bags

The default for business travel and the lowest published hourly display for a full day. Quiet cabin, composed ride, and a chauffeur who treats the space as your rolling office. Planning figures are about three passengers and about three bags; confirm the assigned vehicle before you treat those as a guarantee. A fourth passenger or a set of golf clubs usually moves the trip into the SUV class, subject to confirmation. Six hours of reserved sedan time is estimated at $710, not $120 multiplied by six, for a day of meetings with the vehicle staged between stops.

Premium SUV class illustration

Premium SUV

$150 an hour · confirm assigned seats, bags, and devices

The workhorse of Northeast Florida when the assigned vehicle can take the load. This region generates golf travel with club bags, coastal trips where people pack for a week, cruise transfers with heavy cases, and medical travel with companions and folding walkers. Ask for written confirmation that the SUV holds passengers, bags, clubs, child seats, and any folding device. The three-hour hourly estimates are $360 sedan and $440 SUV, an $80 gap, not $150 multiplied by three. Child seats and accessibility need the assigned configuration, not an automatic SUV promise.

Mercedes S-Class class illustration

Mercedes S-Class

$230 an hour · presentation rather than extra cargo

This carries roughly what a sedan carries, so it is not a capacity choice. It is worth booking when the vehicle is going to be noticed: a wedding, a client pickup where a company is being represented, a milestone night, or corporate hospitality where the guest is meant to feel hosted. Where nobody will see the car, the sedan or the SUV is usually the better spend and the quote will say so. A three-hour S-Class hourly estimate is $690. Confirm seats and bags on the assigned car the same way you would for any sedan.

Mercedes Sprinter class illustration

Mercedes Sprinter

$240 an hour · group van · confirm assigned seats and bags

A Sprinter keeps a group on one schedule when the assigned van holds the people and the bags. Planning figures are about twelve passengers and about twelve bags; confirm the assigned seats and storage rather than promising fourteen. Request a written configuration for the real head count, cases, and clubs. A three-hour Sprinter hourly estimate is $710, not $240 multiplied by three; four hours is $940 and six hours is $1,410. Those totals include gratuity and applicable service and card charges. Its constraint is supply rather than a per-person bargain: group vans in Northeast Florida book out on spring weekends, wedding dates, prom season, and tournament week.

Questions

Before you book

How do I book an executive car in Jacksonville?

Request a quote with addresses, times, flight numbers, passengers, and luggage. Ask for an exact transfer quote or the complete hourly duration you need. The booking form and reservations email are available before you approve a booking.

Which airports and aviation points do you serve?

JAX is primary. Private aviation pickups can be arranged at CRG Craig and JAX Signature, with onward transfers to Downtown, Ponte Vedra, Amelia Island, St. Augustine, Mayo Clinic, and the Beaches.

Do you handle TPC Sawgrass and Mayo Clinic trips?

Yes. Ponte Vedra and TPC Sawgrass are signature golf/resort transfers, and Mayo Clinic Jacksonville trips can be coordinated for patients, families, executives, and wait-and-return schedules.

How is pricing structured?

For THE PLAYERS Championship, Nights of Lights, Amelia Island events, or stadium dates, send the date and operating window early. Confirm availability, the agreed total, and any venue access charges before booking.

Can I book a chauffeur by the hour?

Yes. Hourly as-directed hire keeps the car and chauffeur with you for a booked block, ideal for multi-stop days, events, and itineraries that refuse to hold still.

Do you handle corporate accounts?

If you need invoices grouped by trip or one email thread for several travellers, say so in the quote request. Account work uses the same published rates as everyone else.

What vehicles are available?

Executive sedans, premium SUVs, Mercedes S-Class, and Mercedes Sprinter vans. Name the head count, bags, child seats with ages, and any mobility device on the quote request so the assigned vehicle can be confirmed against the load.

Black car service in Jacksonville, priced in public

Sedan $120 an hour, premium SUV $150, Mercedes S-Class $230, Mercedes Sprinter $240, with a three-hour minimum on every hourly reservation.

Those numbers are on the site rather than held back until a phone call, which in this category is the most useful difference an operator can offer. Hourly reserved time has a three-hour minimum, with complete-duration estimates of $360 sedan, $440 SUV, $690 S-Class, and $710 Sprinter. A one-way JAX transfer is quoted for the exact pickup and drop-off; do not treat a three-hour hourly block as the airport fare. If the hourly card is not in your range, you have lost ninety seconds rather than a day of waiting.

The three-hour minimum applies to reserved hourly time whether you sit in the car or not. A one-way Ponte Vedra transfer is quoted for the exact itinerary; hourly hire is a different product. Request the written quote for the product you actually need.

Published hourly estimates include gratuity and applicable service and card charges. Confirm the final total and any airport access, parking, tolls, or venue charges in the written quote. Ask how extra waiting or itinerary changes would be charged.

For THE PLAYERS Championship, Nights of Lights, Amelia Island events, or stadium dates, send the date and operating window early. Confirm availability, the agreed total, and any venue access charges before booking.

The one airport detail that decides everything

Most bookings here start with Jacksonville International, and one rule causes more failed pickups than everything else combined.

JAX requires pre-arranged ground transportation operators to work the designated Ground Transportation Area on the lower level. Curbside pickup and the Hourly Garage are not available to pre-arranged vehicles. That is the airport's rule rather than an operator preference, which is why your confirmation names a specific area instead of saying "meet outside arrivals."

Rideshare, taxis, and shared-ride products operate under their own arrangements in their own signed zones, rideshare uses a marked area on the arrival curb. This is why someone who has used an app here before arrives with the wrong mental model, and why comparing the two products on "where do I stand" is comparing different things.

The practical version is short: collect your bags at baggage claim on the lower level, follow the ground transportation signage on that same level, and the vehicle is there. The walk is genuinely brief, because JAX runs a single passenger terminal with two concourses and baggage claim and ground transportation on the same floor. If you want the chauffeur inside with a name sign rather than meeting in the Ground Transportation Area, ask on the quote request so the confirmation can say so.

Include the operating flight number on the quote request so pickup time can be set from the published schedule. If the flight moves, send the update. The quote should state where waiting becomes billable after you have your bags rather than leaving it to a conversation afterwards.

Why this market is harder than it looks

Jacksonville is the largest city in the contiguous United States by land area, and that single fact explains most of what is unusual about transportation here.

The consequence is that "in Jacksonville" is not a useful description of a trip. Downtown to the Beaches is a real drive. Mayo Clinic on San Pablo Road is roughly twenty miles from the airport. Nocatee is in St. Johns County. Two addresses sharing a city name can be further apart than the entire width of most American cities, and an operator quoting your trip without asking where it goes is guessing.

The St. Johns River compounds it. Everything crossing the river funnels onto a handful of bridges, the Main Street, Acosta, Fuller Warren, Hart, Mathews, and Buckman. When one has an incident there is no parallel route, only the next bridge, and the difference is measured in tens of minutes rather than a few. The morning peak, roughly 7 to 9 a.m., converges on the Downtown interchange where all of that meets.

The corridors at least are few and learnable. I-95 runs the length of the metro and on to Amelia Island north and St. Augustine south. J. Turner Butler Boulevard connects the Southside to the Beaches. Butler and A1A carry the Ponte Vedra traffic. The Nocatee Parkway links St. Johns County to the coast and, unusually for a Florida expressway of that type, is not tolled. And the St. Johns River Ferry at Mayport still runs, which for a small number of northbound coastal trips is genuinely the shortest path.

This is why the pages on this site spend more words on routes, crossings, timing, and vehicle capacity than on adjectives about upholstery. In a city this size, those are the things that decide whether a trip works.

Getting the vehicle right

More trips fail on vehicle sizing than on timing, and it is entirely preventable at the quote stage.

Confirm the assigned vehicle against the real load. Planning figures for a sedan are about three passengers and about three bags; a premium SUV is a usual class to request when people, bags, clubs, or a folding device may exceed that, and only when the confirmation says the assigned configuration holds the load. This region generates golf travel with club bags, coastal trips where people pack for a week, cruise transfers with heavy cases, and medical travel with companions and folding walkers.

Golf clubs are the local complication. A foursome flying into JAX for TPC Sawgrass or an Amelia Island course has four travel bags plus four club covers, and travel covers are bulky in a way suitcases are not. Ask whether one assigned SUV holds that load, or whether two SUVs or one Sprinter is the configuration that fits. Do not treat a group van as automatically cheaper or as a fourteen-bag guarantee.

The Mercedes S-Class at $230 an hour carries roughly what a sedan carries, so it is a presentation choice rather than a capacity one. It earns its price when the vehicle will be noticed, a wedding, a client pickup, a milestone night, and not otherwise. A Sprinter is the group class when the assigned van seats the party together; confirm seats and bags in writing.

Say the real load in the quote request: actual head count, counted bags, golf clubs by number of sets, a child seat with the child's age, any mobility device named specifically. Folding wheelchairs, walkers, rollators, and portable oxygen concentrators may travel when the assigned vehicle can take them. A passenger who cannot transfer into a vehicle seat needs a wheelchair-accessible vehicle with a ramp or lift, which is specialist equipment rather than something this fleet can substitute for.

When you should book something else

It would be easy to leave this off a home page. Including it is more useful, because recommending a three-hour hourly block for a trip that does not need one is how trust gets lost.

For a short unplanned journey across San Marco or the Southside, compare a taxi or rideshare with an advance transfer quote. For a solo JAX arrival with little luggage, compare pickup instructions, current fare, waiting terms, and availability before deciding whether a reserved car adds value.

For a routine appointment-day trip from a hotel near Mayo Clinic, several properties run free shuttles built around the campus schedule, and there is no reason to pay for a car to do that. Where the shuttle does not help is the airport leg, because none of them covers a twenty-mile run to JAX timed against a delayed flight.

For a general-admission day at THE PLAYERS Championship, the tournament runs free first-come park-and-ride shuttles from school lots and paid motor coaches from three Downtown Jacksonville hotels. If your plan is to arrive in the morning and leave when play ends, that infrastructure exists and works.

Pre-arranged service earns its price under identifiable conditions: departures before 6 a.m. and arrivals after 10 p.m., destinations in Nocatee or on Amelia Island or in St. Augustine where app supply is genuinely thin, four or more passengers, golf clubs, cruise luggage, a mobility device, a companion who is exhausted, an event night when surge is real, a parking situation that a drop-off deletes, and any trip where being late has a consequence you cannot absorb.

What is not claimed on this site

Being clear about the limits is more useful than another paragraph of adjectives, and it is the part most sites in this category leave out entirely.

Use the booking form for an itinerary quote, or compose an email to reservations@blackcarservicejacksonville.com with pickup and destination addresses, dates, times, passengers, and luggage.

Before choosing a provider, check independent reviews and ask for the booking terms that matter to your trip: pickup arrangements, waiting charges, cancellation, and vehicle fit.

The photos illustrate the four vehicle classes. They do not identify the vehicle assigned to your trip. Confirm the model, seating, luggage space, and any accessibility requirements in writing.

Places named on this site are common pickup and drop-off points: Mayo Clinic on San Pablo Road, TPC Sawgrass, Jacksonville International, Signature Flight Support, the JAXPORT Cruise Terminal, EverBank Stadium, and the Prime Osborn Convention Center. Hours, gates, and access rules come from those operators published guidance, reviewed in September 2026. Confirm same-day instructions with the venue or your host before travel.
